Ang pau (red envelope) is one of the most recognizable parts of Chinese culture all across the world. We were excited to develop a series of ang pau for Panin Bank for two years with over 190,000 copies to be produced and distributed to their great number of customers. The series itself consisted of those for Chinese New Year, weddings, and general purposes. As a long-time player in the modern era, the brief was to create a look that was modern, yet still representing their image as a well-established bank. Although faced with technical restrictions in printing, we managed to keep the metallic effect through the use of color gradients.
